Approaching Perfection: CCMC649

I'm so excited to announce today that I have joined Create with Connie and Mary's Thursday Challenge. Every Thursday I will have a card to share with you that takes on whatever challenge we have for that week. For my very first week, we have a sketch challenge for you.

Here is the card that I made for this week.

Stampin' Up! Canada Approaching Perfection

I love to get layout inspiration from the catalogue and other places, so I really enjoyed having a sketch to spark my creativity. I hope seeing my sample and the ones from the others on the Design Team will inspire you in your own card making! Here is what the sketch looks like.

When I first saw the sketch I immediately thought of the Rectangular Postage Stamp Punch. Then I was looking at a few of my Sale-a-Bration items and realized the cute candles from the Approaching Perfection Stamp Set would be just the perfect size. With a pallet of Mossy Meadow, Petal Pink and Merry Merlot, I love the look of this card.

The dimensions are:

  • Card Base: 4 1/4" x 5 1/2"

  • Embossed Mossy Meadow Layer: 4 1/4" x 5 1/4"

  • Petal Pink: 4 1/4" x 3 1/2"

  • True Love DSP: 4 1/4" x 3 1/4"

If you would like any of the products that I used today, you can see a full list of supplies below.

Please head over to Create with Connie & Mary to see the amazing projects from the rest of the Design Team.

And, wouldn't it be fun to play along with the challenge with us? Simply create your own card using the sketch above and post it on the Facebook page.
