Time to Try Gilded Leafing!

Do you love fancy techniques or are you a little intimidated by them? I must admit I'm a little bit of both! This is how I've been feeling about the new Gilded Leafing from Stampin' Up! found in the January to June 2021 Mini Catalogue. But I've found that the best thing to do is take the pressure off of creating a perfect card and just play around with the product first.

So, after playing around and getting a little more comfortable with it, here is a card that I created, casing a few fabulous ideas that I have seen around.

If you would like all the details on how I made this card, be sure to watch my Facebook Live video which I have included below. Every Thursday at 12pm MST I go live on my Facebook page with fun projects and tips, so be sure to follow me there to not miss out!

There are a few things that I love about the Gilded Leafing.

  • It's easier to use than it looks!

  • It gives a nice bright shiny gold

  • It's so versatile and can be used with almost any adhesive!

Here is a second card that I made that uses the Gilded Leafing on a stamped image with the Heat & Stick Powder. I just love the shine on that butterfly! This card uses a variety of products, if you'd like to see exactly what I used just check out the end of this post.

I hope that you will be willing to try this technique out if you haven't before, I think you're going to love it!
