Today I’m showing you how to make two fun fold cards using the Joyful Squares Bundle from the January–April 2026 Mini Catalogue — and honestly, this bundle had me at the tiny binder clip 😍.
At first glance, this bundle might feel like it’s meant more for scrapbooking, but I wanted to show you how adorable and easy it is to use for handmade cards too. These cards also feature the coordinating Square Snippets DSP, and I’ll walk you through how to mix patterns and layers without overthinking it.
To give you even more inspiration, I’ve also recreated both card layouts using February’s Product of the Month , the Painted Illusions DSP so you can see how versatile this design is and have extra ideas ready to try.
The video replay is below for the step-by-step instructions.

Card 1: Double Z Fold
I love these types of cards for all the ways you can mix & match your DSP and the 3x3 squares are just perfect for showing off the 'Square Snippets' DSP!
With all the amazing colours in this patterned paper, you have lots of colour combos to choose from. Here I went with Secret Sea, Garden Green & yellow.
If you need more patterns to fill out your projects, don't forget about the 'Mixed Up Patterns' DSP - it really does do with everything!
Card 2
On this fun fold, we can take full advantage of the 4x4 squares in the 'Square Snippets' DSP.
Remember, you can take this exact card design and with this paper, it will look totally different depending on the squares that you choose to mix & match with. I love the pinks and oranges on this one!
