A Butterfly Rainbow

This week has me all thinking about colours and rainbows! One of the things I love the most about Stampin' Up! is all the incredible colours! There is always the perfect shade that I need for a project, whether I'm making cards or party decorations for my kids. This week I thought it would be fun to make a couple rainbow themed cards leading into St. Patrick's Day.

This card just makes me happy looking at it! I wanted to do a more subtle colour palette for the rainbow feel on this card. So I used Flirty Flamingo, Calypso Coral, So Saffron, Pear Pizzazz and Coastal Cabana.

The card base is Pool Party, cut the long way, 4 1/4" x 11" and folded in half at 5 1/2". The background layer is from the Fine Art Floral Designer Series Paper. (Seriously, if you don't have it yet, you need it!).

The rest of the card is actually pretty simple to put together. Using the Butterfly Duet Punch, I punched a set of butterflies from each colour I wanted in my rainbow and then layered them up and arranged them on the card in rainbow order.

The sentiment is from the coordinating Butterfly Gala Stamp Set and is actually one of my all time favourites, I just love the fonts on it! (Do you think this stamp set might retire this year??) I layered the sentiment on top of the Well Suited Twine and on the card with Stampin' Dimensionals.

You may have missed the Opal Rounds from the January to June 2021 Mini Catalogue, if so let me be the one to introduce them to you! I love the sparkle in them, you are going to love adding them to your projects!
