Bright & Cheery Easter Card & Tag

Easter is only a couple weeks away and I wanted to have some more fun with my spring colour palette that I've been using. Today I have a bright & cheery Easter card and a fun tag that could be used on an Easter Basket!

I have been wanting to use my Playful Alphabet Dies on a card and since I don't have a specific Easter themed stamp set, I thought this would be the perfect time! I love the font of these dies and how you can create any words you would like for your projects! Think about how great they would be for scrapbooking too!

I cut out my letters in my spring rainbow of colours: Calypso Coral, Petal Pink, So Saffron, Soft Sea Foam, Coastal Cabana and Purple Posy. I used the negative cut of the letters for the card and saved the cut out letters for my tag. I then layered them on scraps I had leftover from the Playing with Patterns DSP, which as it turns out has awesome colours and patterns for Easter!

My card base is Highland Heather (surprise, I used purple again!) and layered on a 4" x 5 1/4" piece of the cardstock that was embossed with the Dainty Diamonds 3D Embossing Folder. Before I attached this piece to the card, I wrapped around it the Purple Posy ribbon from the Playing with Patterns Ribbon Combo Pack. I think I'm going to use this ribbon for my Easter baskets this year, it's the perfect colour and ties the prettiest bows!

The "happy" comes from the Well Written Dies, cut out in Coastal Cabana, adhered to Basic White Cardstock and then I just fussy cut around it. The finishing touch was the Playing with Patterns Resin Dots.

For my Easter Basket tag, I just used the same colour scheme and more of the DSP. My ovals dies also were a perfect way to make a fun egg shape for the tag!

I hope you liked these fun Easter projects! Have fun creating your own cards and tags for Easter, maybe using this DSP and springy colour palette. All the products I used today are listed below.
