Happy St. Patrick's Day! Today I have 2 super fun cards for you. One features the awesome Pretty Perennials Bundle and the second one is bringing you a little luck today!
Bringing the colours of the rainbow into a card is just a joyful combination! I really wanted the colours to pop, so I went with a neutral white background. The Dainty Diamonds 3D Embossing Folder just brings a fun texture to the background.
For the flowers I used the Pretty Perennials Bundle, stamping the largest flower (using the stamping off technique) in my rainbow colours: Melon Mambo, Daffodil Delight, Granny Apple Green, Bermuda Bay and Gorgeous Grape. I then cut out the flower outline detail in the Rainbow Glimmer Paper from the 2020 - 2021 Annual Catalogue . . . have you forgotten about that paper?! I forgot how beautiful and fun it is to work with! It was so easy to match up each colour to a part of the glimmer paper.
For the sentiment, I heat embossed in white on Basic Black cardstock and fussy cut the words out. I am in love with this card! I may just send it to everyone this year :)
Now, to bring you a little green on St. Patrick's Day, I created a card that uses my favourite green, Shaded Spruce, and is a little homage to the day without actually having any St. Patrick's items on it.
To make the green the star of the show, I simply paired it with black and white. I looked through all my stamp sets and found this perfect sentiment from the Game On Stamp Set.
The Basic Black Cardstock is cut to 4" x 5 1/4". The black and white pattern is from the True Love DSP, cut at 2" x 5 1/4". Then I put a 1/2" x 5 1/4" strip of Shaded Spruce on top.
I didn't have any shamrocks to add to the card, so I used these fun leaves from the Perennial Petals Dies, also cut out in Shaded Spruce. The sentiment is stamped in Tuxedo Black Memento Ink and cut out with the Stitched So Sweetly Dies. Behind the sentiment I looped some twine from the Playful Pets Trim Combo.
