I'm having a lot of fun CASEing (Copy And Share Everything) the catalogue every Thursday this month with Create with Connie & Mary. This week I was inspired by the layout and thought that it would be fun to highlight all the yummy summer treats that Stampin' Up! has to offer!
Doesn't this look fun and delicious?! I think I may have found a new colour combo that I am thrilled with as well. What do you think of it? Polished Pink, Pale Papaya, Pear Pizzazz and Pool Party! So much fun. Now, I love this layout as it creates an opportunity to highlight multiple images for your card. Here is the original from the catalogue to help inspire you as well.
To create the look on this card, the Rectangle Stitched Dies were used. I also chose to use the Pattern Party Designer Series Paper for the background of my card, adhered to a Pear Pizzazz card base. Then I cut out 3 smaller rectangles out of Basic White cardstock and arranged them on the card.
Now we go to the sweet treat fun! I created continuity between the different images by using the same colours on each one. First up is the peach from the Sweet as a Peach Bundle. It was stamped first in Pale Papaya and then I sponge daubed a little Calypso Coral on before I stamped it in order to give some dimension. I actually stamped a whole bunch one day and then I had a little stash ready to go for future projects!
The popsicle comes from the Sweet Ice Cream Stamp Set. It was stamped in Polished Pink on the bottom and Pale Papaya on the top. I love the way the 2 colours mix together to create that fun orange colour in the middle! Finally was the strawberry from the Sweet Strawberry Bundle of course. The strawberry was stamped in Polished Pink and the stem in Pear Pizzazz.
The sentiment also comes from the Sweet as a Peach Bundle and was heat embossed in white on Pale Papaya cardstock.
I think this may be one of my favourite summer cards! Now, this same card might spark a completely different creative journey for you. That is the fun about CASEing!
