One of the first bundles that I fell in love with in the July - December 2021 Mini Catalogue from Stampin' Up! was the Frosted Gingerbread Bundle. I could not resist the fun cookie shapes and peppermint images. For this week's Thursday Challenge with Create with Connie & Mary, I thought that it would be fun to try this bundle out in some different colours than what you see in the catalogue.
I really love the look of these colours together for a fun wintry card. If they look a little familiar, you will also find them in the Sale-a-bration Brochure in the Penguin Playmates DSP (which you can earn for free until the end of the month!). All three of these colours are In Colors as well, so you'll want to be sure to add them to your collection while you can!
I used Just Jade cardstock as the base of the card and then added a layer of Basic White. The background was created by adding Fresh Freesia with the Blending Brushes. I then stamped this fun kind of snowy background with a stamp that can be found in the Merriest Moments Stamp Set.
The snowflakes are of course from the Frosted Gingerbread Bundle. I stamped 2 in Misty Moonlight and cut them out with the coordinating die. The 3 detailed snowflakes were cut out in Basic White and then I added Wink of Stella on top of them to give them some dimension. I find that the Wink of Stella doesn't always show up great in photos, but I love the sparkle and shine it adds to the card in person! I heat embossed the sentiment in Just Jade with clear embossing powder, in order to add a little shine to it as well. It's a technique that I forget to use, but it can add just that little bit extra to your card!
