CCMC689: Simple Sketch for a Christmas Card

You can never have too many ideas for your Christmas card making! This week for my sketch challenge for Create with Connie & Mary, I turned to a couple of returning favourites to bring my sketch to life.

The Heartwarming Hugs DSP is a returning favourite from last year and you can find it in this year's July - December Mini Catalogue. This pattern is so much fun and was perfect to layer up on this sketch. Check out the original sketch here so you can use it in your own card making.

I used Pear Pizzazz as the base for my card. Then here are the rest of the basic dimensions.

  • Basic White 1: 5 3/8" x 4 1/8"

  • DSP 1: 5 1/4" x 4"

  • Basic White 2: 4 1/8" x 3 1/8"

  • DSP 2: 4" x 3"

  • Pear Pizzazz Strip: 4 1/2" x 3/4"

For the rest of the card I used more of my favourite Christmas products from Stampin' Up!®, the Perfectly Plaid Stamp Set and the matching Pine Tree Punch. I have already had these for a couple years and keep using them again and again. I highly recommend adding them to your Christmas crafting supplies!

I stamped the sentiment in Real Red and cut it out with a die from the Potted Succulent Dies. The tree was heat embossed in white on Pear Pizzazz and then punched out. A few rhinestones and a sweet bow and you have the perfect Christmas card!
