CCMC690: Bright & Fun Christmas Card
I must admit, if left to my own devices, I might just always stick with red and green Christmas cards. However, it is always a good thing to push yourself creatively and I love the colours that are a part of our challenge this week with Create with Connie & Mary. They are so much fun!
You can also find these colours in the Whimsy & Wonder Suite, but I thought that it would be fun to use them in a new way and the ornament shapes from the Gingerbread Dies seemed just perfect for the job! Here is an image of the colours that we worked with this week.
On a white card base, I went for the Polished Pink as my next layer, but decided to tone it down a bit by laying a piece of vellum paper on top. The ornaments are the best part of this card and I made one in each colour; Mint Macaron, Blushing Bride and Polished Pink.
Of course, I had to use the "Fa la la la la" sentiment from the Holly Jolly Wishes stamp set. It is stamped in Mint Macaron on this super cute scalloped label die from the Scalloped Contours Dies. To finish off the card, I just added some silver trim, rhinestones and a couple of the shapes from the Gingerbread & Peppermint Acrylic Shapes.
If you would like to see some more inspiration with these colours, be sure to head on over to Create with Connie & Mary to see what the other lovely designers created this week.
