The Joy of Christmas Suite from Stampin' Up! has all of my favourite elements to make Christmas cards. I love the traditional feel of the red and green. I love how easy the dies make it to add festive greenery to your card. And lastly, I have always loved buffalo plaid at Christmas and just cannot resist it in this Suite! These cards were a part of my weekly live video, the replay is below so you can have a step by step on how they came together.
The Christmas Classics bundle can really help you create a wow factor on your card. The layout of this card is fairly simple, but in using the Christmas Classics Dies, it really takes the card to the next level. I also love how by adding just a pop of gold, it gives the card a more fancy feel to it. If you want to add some white on a card like I did here, I recommend dry embossing it with your favourite embossing folder to give the card a bit of texture.
When I originally made this second card, I had the sentiment in white, but I also am in love with how it looks embossed in white on black cardstock. By focusing just on the greens in the Joy of Christmas DSP, you get a completely different look for your card as well. If you'd like more red, I suggest colouring the ribbon with your Real Red Stampin' Blends. I think that would look amazing too!
