This Thursday on the Create with Connie and Mary Challenge, we have another fun spring combo of colours for you.
This card features 2 of the retiring 2019-2021 In Colours, Seaside Spray and Rococo Rose, combined with the vibrant Gorgeous Grape. I love how these 3 colours started to come together for me.
I didn't have any designer series paper in these colours, so I brought out my Painted Poppies Stamp Set. I haven't used this stamp set in awhile and I was reminded of why I liked it so much in the first place! To create the background for my card, I took Basic White Cardstock cut at 5 1/8" x 3 7/8" and stamped the outline of the poppy in Gorgeous Grape in a random pattern. Then I stamped the background to the poppy in Seaside Spray. I layered this piece on Rococo Rose Cardstock, cut at 5 1/4" x 4" and then on some wood textured paper from the In Good Taste Designer Series Paper, cut to the size of the card front, 5 1/2" x 4 1/4".
I used the coordinated Painted Labels Dies to create the background for the sentiment. The saying is one of my favourites and comes from the Simply Succulents Stamp Set. It is stamped in Gorgeous Grape on the Seaside Spray Cardstock.
The Rococo Rose Scalloped Ribbon was cut in 2 strips of about 4 1/2" and layered behind. The finishing touch was adding some of the fun Pastel Pearls . . . they were the perfect colours for today!
I hope that you enjoyed my card today and that it inspires you to grab some products in these colours and start creating! For more ideas be sure to head to the Create with Connie and Mary blog to see all the fabulous other projects. Then come on over to Facebook and share your own creation!
