Colour Inspiration: CCMC656

Welcome! Thanks for coming to check out my card from this week's Create with Connie and Mary Colour Challenge. This week I was in my element with some of my favourite colours!

What do you think of these colours together? I just love them and decided to go with a little tropical theme.

My card base was Night of Navy and then I layered on this fabulous striped paper from the Dandy Garden Designer Series Paper. I cannot get enough of this paper! It's great for so many projects beyond dragonflies and dandelions. I also used a sheet of it for the base of the pineapple!

The square is from the Stitched Shapes Dies. (And I'm kinda freaking out because these dies are on the retiring list! So sad!) I gave the Basic White Cardstock of the square some texture by using the Tasteful Textile 3D Embossing Folder and then mat it with Old Olive Cardstock cut at 2 3/4" x 2 3/4".

The pineapple comes from the In The Tropics Dies. I just love the 3D look of the top of the pineapple! The sentiment is from the Timeless Tropical Stamp Set and was heat embossed in white on Night of Navy Cardstock. To add a little detail, I laid some Linen Thread down behind the sentiment and added my favourite little In Colour Enamel Dots.

I hope you liked this colour combo! Be sure to head over to Create with Connie and Mary to see what the other fabulous designers created! Then wouldn't it be fun to make your own card with these colours and share it with us on the Facebook Page?
