It is a hot and beautiful week here in Calgary and I am loving all the summer vibes! This week our colour challenge for Create with Connie & Mary has me tapping into the freshness of summer and I had to go and use my favourite Sweet Strawberry Bundle.
I am so excited that it is back in stock and I can share all its awesomeness again! Have I sold you on the bundle yet?! The colours for this week pushed me away from using red for the strawberry and I love how it turned out!
Here are the colours we used this week:
The base of the card is Pale Papaya and it makes the perfect backdrop for the delightful polka dot paper that you can find in the Pattern Party Designer Series Paper (which is available to purchase for any customer or party orders of over $200!). The DSP was cut out using the largest shape from the Scalloped Contours Dies.
I then cut a strip of Calypso Coral cardstock cut at 3 1/4" x 1" and layered it behind this Pear Pizzazz coloured DSP which you can find in the You're A Peach Designer Series Paper, cut at the same dimensions. The flowers were stamped in Calypso Coral and Pale Papaya and of course punched out with the Strawberry Builder Punch. For the centres, I used my Calypso Coral Blends to colour in some rhinestones (a fantastic way to get a custom colour!) and then used the 2021-2023 In Colour Gems in Pale Papaya.
The sentiment was stamped in Calypso Coral on a 3" x 3/4" strip of Basic White, then I stamped it again on Pale Papaya and hand cut out the word "birthday" to layer on top! All in all, I think it's a very sweet card that I can't wait to send out for someone's birthday!
