Holly Jolly Christmas Cards

Updated: Feb 1, 2022

I had a lot of fun with my Christmas projects on this week's Facebook Live. I used one of my favourite Christmas colour combos and made 2 cards and a tag. I love how Shaded Spruce, Pool Party and Real Red look together. It was also fun to challenge myself a little by not using any Designer Series Paper on any of the projects. And I love my DSP! So, I brought out my Stampin' Blends and my Blending Brushes to give me a little bit of help.

For both cards, I used the Blending Brushes to create the background. Then I did a little bit of colouring with my Stampin' Blends and I even tried some watercolour for one of the trees! It's not a technique I'm super comfortable doing, so it's fun to try and show that you can keep it simple and it will still turn out cute!

If you would like to see how all 3 projects came together with full instructions, then you can check out the replay of my Facebook Live below. I think the tag might be my favourite and now I need to go and make a few more! Be sure to follow me on Facebook so that you don't miss my next live tutorial. You can find me there (almost!) every Thursday at 12pm MT.

If you liked these projects and would love to continue receiving ideas and inspiration for your own card making or paper crafting, you can sign up for my weekly newsletter here, and you will get fun tips, inspiration, updates and exclusive freebies. Plus, just as a thank you for signing up, you'll receive a free PDF Tutorial to learn how to make 2 different cards.
