It's always good to have a few thank you cards hanging around in your stash. I wanted to create a couple cards that had a more cozy wintery feel. Look no further than the In Good Taste Designer Series Paper from Stampin' Up!.
The images on the paper are photographic so they look so real! I felt like the perfect match for this paper was the Tasteful Textile 3D Embossing Folder. It's definitely been one of my favourites this year. I used it on Rococo Rose cardstock cut at 4" x 5 1/4". I then layered a piece of DSP cut at 3 1/2" x 4 1/4" on a piece of Pretty Peacock cardstock cut at 3 5/8" x 4 3/8". The ribbon is from the Pretty Peacock Scalloped Linen Ribbon, I just stripped off the edge of the ribbon from the linen.
Sometimes it's hard to find a card in my stash that has a more masculine feel, but this paper made it really easy! One technique I sometimes forget about as well is simply to stamp your sentiment right onto the DSP itself. I love the way that it just adds one more layer of texture to these cards!
I used the same embossing folder on this card, this time on Grey Granite. The DSP is cut at 3 1/2" x 2 3/4" and layered on top of a piece of Night of Navy cardstock cut at 4 x 2 7/8".
Both of these cards feature the So Sentimental Bundle, which I believe is a must have for your stamp collection. It is so versatile and I use it ALL THE TIME! Seriously, I love it! :) I've snuck in an upcoming new product on this card as well. Can you spot it?
