Natural Botanicals Stamp Set: 2 Simple Stamping Ideas

This week I had a lot of fun creating with Stampin' Up!'s 'Natural Botanicals' Stamp Set. Did you know that it is a Reversible Stamp Set? That means that you can use the lined image on the one side of the stamp and then also use the solid side of the stamp too! It makes it easy to add colour to an image, but it also allows for some fun layering ideas.

Card 1

The first thing I did before I started this card was to decide on a colour scheme. Then I just let myself play around a bit. Sometimes I find that I need to "figure out" a stamp set and see how I like to use it. I had a lot of scrap paper used up in the makings of these cards!

• I grabbed my current favourite colour of Petunia Pop and paired it up with Bubble Bath, Shy Shamrock and Pool Party for a bright and fun colour combo.

• I started with directly stamping on the paper and then decided to fussy cut out a few of the images to get a better layering look.

• For the sentiments this week, I went to the 'My Small Business' Stamp Set because it has an awesome variety of 'thank you's in different fonts.

Card 2

This card ended up with a bit of a tropical vibe and I love it!

• I switched out the brighter Shy Shamrock and changed the look a bit by adding in Pretty Peacock, Lost Lagoon and a hint of Lemon Lime Twist. Which colour combo is your favourite?
