Did you know that Stampin' Up!'s Annual Catalogue ends a bit early this year? The last day you can purchase from it is May 3rd! That also means that the 2019-2021 In Colours are retiring in only a couple months! It is always hard to say goodbye to colours, but it also gets me super excited to think about what is upcoming.
I thought that I would take us through a little goodbye for each colour. As usual, I am drawn to some colours more than others. Purple Posy is a fun colour, perfect for spring. I haven't used it a ton, but found that once it was paired with Night of Navy in the Playing with Patterns Suite, I was drawn to it so much more.
I took my colour inspiration from the Playing with Patterns Designer Series Paper and I love the vibrant, spring look that started to come out. I started with a simple background of 2 patterns from the DSP. The polka dot pattern is cut at 5 1/2" x 2 1/2" and the top pattern is 5 1/2" x 2" to layer it just underneath. To cover up the line between the 2 patterns, I used the Bumblebee In Color Ribbon, which I tend to use a lot!
Then the fun began with the Pretty Perennials Bundle.
I stamped a few different sizes of flowers in Calypso Coral and Bumblebee. The flower outlines are cut from the dies and I just used more of the Playing with Patterns DSP. These are all layered with the sentiment that I stamped in Night of Navy on the Purple Posy Cardstock, cut at 3 1/4" x 1 3/4". If you would like a full list of the products I used, just see below.
If you love this suite or Purple Posy, be sure to get the items while you can. I know the retiring In Colour products can start to sell out even before the end of the catalogue date.
