Saturday Blog Hop: Black, Orange and Purple

We have a colour combo for our theme this week - Black, Orange & Purple! Definitely a fun look for Halloween and I hate to admit it, but purple does not get a lot of use in my craft room! It was time to dust off my Gorgeous Grape ink pad😂.

Products Used

• Details: When you don't have a specific stamp set, it can be fun to see what you can pull together! For images, I used a pumpkin from the 'Painted Patch' DSP and the candy corn from the 'Harvest Hues' Ephemera Pack. Then paired with the cute little sentiment from 'Soiree Salutations' and the Ghosts, we have a cute Halloween Card!

Step-by-Step Instructions

1. Card Base:

   1. Cut Basic Black Cardstock to 8 1/2" x 5 1/2". Score in half at 4 1/4".

   2. Cut 2 coordinating patterns of DSP 3 3/4" x 5".

      1. I used the 'Frightfully Fun' DSP in the background.

      2. The front piece is from the 'Artisan Sketched Garden' DSP. I then added Gorgeous Grape ink with a blending brush.

      3. Add them to the card at an angle so you can see both patterns.

2. Details:

   1. Find your fun details! I cut out this pumpkin from the DSP and layered it on top of some of the candy corn from the Ephemera Pack.

   2. The sentiment was heat embossed in white on Black cardstock, cut to size and added on top of the pumpkin with Mini Dimensionals.

   3. Finish off with your cute Ghosts and Dots.👻
