Hello! Thanks for joining us on the Create with Connie & Mary Saturday Blog Hop! This week I am casing myself. At first I thought it was kind of funny to case myself, but when you think about it we probably all do that all the time. I often look through some of my older cards to reuse a layout I may have tried before. This particular card is an easy layout that I wanted to try out again but with a bit more of a fancy flair.
The layout is identical, but I traded out the black for copper so that I could use the amazing All About Autumn DSP, but still used Pretty Peacock and a hint of Berry Burst. I really love using copper this time of year and I found that it gave this card a more elegant look than my original card. The top piece in Pretty Peacock comes from the All About Autumn DSP and then the 1/2" strip is the Oxidized Copper Paper. The bottom layer I still embossed, but this time with the Painted Texture 3D Embossing Folder.
I used the Dainty Delight Stamp Set and heat embossed the flower image in copper to match the card better. To add a bit of the Berry Burst colour, I used my Water Painters. It's a great option if you don't have the Stampin' Blends in a particular colour. The sentiment was also heat embossed in copper and cut out with a die from the Autumn Leaves Dies. I then added a bit of copper ribbon and the Adhesive-Backed Speckled Dots. I think I may like this copper version a lot better than the original!
