Saturday Blog Hop: Colour My World

Hello! Thanks for joining us on our Create with Stamping Friends Saturday Blog Hop! Our themes for August are all Song Titles! This week is a Chicago song called 'Color My World' and our challenge was to create a card using our favourite Stampin' Up! colour. Well, if you follow me at all, you'll not be surprised to see that my favourite colour is Petunia Pop!

Products Used

• Colour Combo: Petunia Pop & Old Olive

• Stamp Set: Current fav, which is 'Weekend Adventures'. All the extra images included in the stamp set are so fun!

• Favourite New Product: Still gotta be the Two-Tone cardstock! I've used both the Old Olive & the Petunia Pop on this card.

Step-by-Step Instructions

1. Card Base:

   1. Cut Thick Basic White Cardstock to 8 1/2" x 5 1/2". Score in half at 4 1/4".

   2. Cut Old Olive Two-Tone Cardstock to 4 1/8" x 5 3/8" and adhere to card with the light side up.

2. Main Design:

   1. Cut out Basic White to 4" x 5 1/4". Be sure to stamp and colour before adding to the card base.

   2. Approximately in the middle of the card, stamp 2 sets of flowers in Tuxedo Black. Using a Blending Brush, add some Petunia Pop ink over top of both these sets of flowers.

   3. Stamp the paint splotch image 3 times in Old Olive Ink.

   4. Stamp another set of flowers on an extra piece of Basic White. Colour in with Petunia Pop & Old Olive Stampin' Blends. Cut out and add in the centre of the card.

   5. Add this white piece on card.

   6. Cut out Petunia Pop Two-Tone Cardstock to 4" x 2 1/4". Stamp the little 'x' design across the top in Tuxedo Black.

   7. Add this to card front.

3. Sentiment & Embellishments:

   1. Cut out the detailed 'bloom' in Petunia Pop Two Tone and adhere it to the outline of 'bloom' cut out in Basic White. Add to card with Mini Dimensionals.

   2. Stamp the rest of the sentiment in Tuxedo Black, trim to size and add to card.

   3. Finish off with some Petunia Pop Pearls!
