Hello! Thanks for joining us on the Create with Connie & Mary Saturday Blog Hop! It was fun to be a little playful with this week's theme, Cute Halloween. This is actually right up my alley as I'm really not into anything scary . . . I prefer to be happy:) But I do like to have a little fun with Halloween, I mean candy is my weakness so what am I supposed to do! I thought I didn't have any Halloween stamps, but that is one of the things that I love about Paper Pumpkin, you'll always find what you need in your stamp stash from past kits.
When I think of cute Halloween, I think of non-traditional colour schemes. So, I added in Orchid Oasis and Flirty Flamingo to a more traditional black, white and orange. I wanted to create a few fun angles, so I used 3 different pieces of paper. The stripes come from the Rustic Harvest DSP and was cut at 4" x 3". I cut the Flirty Flamingo to 4" x 4" and then cut it at an angle. The Orchid Oasis DSP was 4" x 3" as well and cut at an angle. I didn't actually measure the angles, I just went for it!
For a little sparkle, I used the 2022 - 2024 In Color Glimmer Paper in Orchid Oasis. The cute ghosts were heat embossed in black and then I added a little Wink of Stella to the inside. My 'Trick or Treat' was also heat embossed in black and was the perfect way to bring the orange into the card. Lastly, the spider webs also came from the Paper Pumpkin stamp set and I just fussy cut them out.
