Hello! Thanks for joining us on the Create with Connie & Mary Saturday Blog Hop! Our theme this week is to create a card for Easter. My kids are still of the age to have lots of fun with Easter baskets and Easter egg hunts, so I created a card featuring the adorable bunny from the Playing in the Rain Stamp Set. The bunny just looks so happy and joyful, the sentiment "oh, happy day" was just right!
The striped patterned paper background is from the Rain or Shine Specialty Designer Series Paper. It's cut to 5 1/4" x 4" and matted on white cardstock at 5 3/8" x 4 1/8". The card base is Flirty Flamingo, one of my favourite colours.
There are lots of fun animals that you can cut out directly from the Designer Series Paper or you can stamp and create your own. I stamped the bunny 3 times and then coloured them in with my Stampin' Blends. I decided to cut off the little rain puddle on the bottom and then colour each of their jackets a different colour. So cute!
The sentiment was heat embossed in black and then fussy cut out. The final touch was a few of the Iridescent Rhinestone Basic Jewels.
