Saturday Blog Hop: Easter Wishes

Hello! Thanks for joining us on our Create with Stamping Friends Saturday Blog Hop! Our theme this week is all about Easter. To get some inspiration I started by coming up with a colour combo. Once I had my colours together I realized they were all the colours in the 'Frames & Flowers' Specialty DSP! So that became the main idea for this card.

Materials Used

These were the main inspiration for my card:

• Colour Combo: Lost Lagoon, Soft Sea Foam, Calypso Coral, Petal Pink

• DSP: Frames & Flowers Specialty DSP. I am absolutely loving all the papers with the die cut pieces. It makes it so easy to add beautiful elements to your card!

Step-by-Step Instructions

1. Slimline Card Base:

   1. Cut Soft Sea Foam cardstock to 7" x 8 1/2". Score in half at 3 1/2".

   2. Cut one pattern of DSP to 3 1/4" x 8 1/4". Add to card front.

   3. Cut a coordinating pattern of DSP to 3" x 7". Centre on card front.

2. Decorative Elements: 

   1. I started with one of the wreath die cuts and then to give it more dimension, I added a few extra pieces around, curling some of the edges.

3. Sentiment:

   1. Heat emboss sentiment from the 'Storybook Life' Stamp Set on Lost Lagoon cardstock. Cut to 3 3/4" x 1". Add to card with dimensionals. (It does hang off the sides a bit, so if you'd like to pop this in a special envelope, you would need a smaller sentiment.)

   2. Finish off with some gems. I love these Petal Pink & Pretty Peacock Foiled Gems, they look great with the colours on this card.
