Saturday Blog Hop: For the Kids

Hello! Thanks for joining us on the Create with Connie & Mary Saturday Blog Hop! Our theme for this week is 'For the Kids'. I haven't made a baby card in quite awhile so I thought it would be fun to show how to put one together even if you don't have a specific baby stamp set.

Stampin Up Baby Card Ideas Just My Type Stamp Set

First of all, I chose a unique card size. The Crumb Cake cardstock is cut to 7" x 6" and then scored in half at 3 1/2". The adorable heart patterned paper comes from the Delightfully Eclectic DSP. It was cut to 3" x 5 1/2" and is matted on Bubble Bath Cardstock cut to 3 1/4" x 5 3/4".

I stamped 6 rainbows from the Just My Type Stamp Set, 2 each in Bubble Bath, Lemon Lolly and Lost Lagoon. Then I fussy cut them out and added them as another background layer to the card.

The Sentimental Park Stamp Set has so many great sayings that you can mix and match to get exactly what you need for any occasion. The 'let's celebrate' was heat embossed in white on Lost Lagoon and the 'your new baby' on Bubble Bath. In order to give the sentiment a little separation from the rest of the card so you could see it better, I added it onto a piece of Vellum Basics paper.

To complete the card, I put on a little bow with white twine and some colour coordinating gems from the Tinsel Gems Four-Pack. It turned out so cute and ready to welcome a sweet little one!
