Saturday Blog Hop: Fun with Stripes

Hello! Thanks for joining us on our Create with Stamping Friends Saturday Blog Hop! Let's have some fun with Stripes this week! I actually had the base of my card on my desk for a couple weeks and I never quite knew what to do with it, but this week it all came together for a fun striped look at the new In Colors.

Products Used

• Embossing Folder: Have you seen the Glass & Gardens Embossing Folders? The flower one that I've used here gives such a cute look to the background of this card.

Step-by-Step Instructions

1. Card Base:

   1. Cut Thick Basic White cardstock to 8 1/2" x 5 1/2". Score in half at 4 1/4".

   2. Cut Secret Sea Two-Tone Cardstock to 4" x 5 1/4" and adhere to card with the light side up.

2. In Color Stripes:

   1. Cut Basic White Cardstock to 3 1/2" x 5". Then cut a 3/4" strip of each In Colour. Start with the middle and then work your way out. You can trim off any excess from the base.

   2. Emboss the stripes with the 'Garden' embossing folder and add to card front.

3. Sentiment:

   1. Ink up the More Messages Stamp Set in Secret Sea and then cut out with the coordinating die. Cut out the die shapes only in Strawberry Slush and Cloud Cover.

   2. Choose your mix of sentiments and layer them up with a shadow from the coloured cardstock.

   3. Add to card!
