Hello! Thanks for joining us on the Create with Connie & Mary Saturday Blog Hop! This week we are beginning to dive into new products and I am so excited. Our theme is 'Hello New Colours'! If you've been following Stampin' Up!, you'll probably now know that we are welcoming in 11 new colours to the core collection. What an exciting time! My card features 2 of the colours that are returning favourites; Berry Burst & Pretty Peacock.
These colours are rich and bold and are a couple of my favourites. Although I must say I'm loving all of the new colours. My card features a returning favourite stamp set as well, Color & Contour.
The background of the card features a 4 1/4" x 2" piece of DSP, a 4 1/4" x 3 1/2" piece of Basic White that was embossed and a 4 1/4" x 1/2" strip of Basic Black cardstock. I stamped the flower outline in black and the flowers in Berry Burst. To have some matching ribbon, I grabbed some white twine and coloured it in Berry Burst using my Blending Brushes. I think this might be my new favourite thing to do! The sentiment was heat embossed in white on Pretty Peacock cardstock and then I added a few of my favourite Iridescent Jewels.
