Saturday Blog Hop: Metallica

Hello! Thanks for joining us on our Create with Stamping Friends Saturday Blog Hop! Our theme this week is to focus on metallics and I thought this would be a fantastic time to try a brand new product, the Metallic Textures Rub-Ons.

Products Used

• Colour Combo: Gold, Shaded Spruce & Pretty Peacock

• Stamp Set: Natural Botanicals. It's such a fantastic set to layer up images.

• New Product: Metallic Textures Rub-Ons. Simply cut out the one you want, peel off the backing and press onto your paper. So pretty!

Step-by-Step Instructions

1. Card Base:

   1. Cut Shaded Spruce Cardstock to 8 1/2" x 5 1/2". Score in half at 4 1/4".

2. Stamping & Rub-Ons:

   1. Cut out Basic White to 4" x 5 1/4". I like to do all my stamping before I adhere it to the card base.

   2. In Shaded Spruce stamp the solid image of one leaf (be sure to stamp off one time first), then stamp the lined image over top.

   3. In Pretty Peacock stamp the solid image of the other leaf (be sure to stamp off one time first), then stamp the lined image over top.

   4. Choose the metallic details you'd like and add them onto the card. I used 2 different leaves, plus some of the little paint splatters.

3. Details:

   1. I added a 3" piece of the Gold Striped Ribbon.

   2. Then choose any sentiment. I decided to add a bit more gold by heat embossing mine in gold. (I used the Mixed Labels Bundle. The stamp set is now retired).

   3. Choose your favourite gold gems and add in. I just love these Low Profile Dots.
