Saturday Blog Hop: National Relaxation Day

Our theme for this week is 'National Relaxation Day'. So, this stumped me a bit at first, but then I thought about how when I want to relax, i go in my garden. So I went through my stash to find something with flowers. Then, when I found this paper, I realized that this was a second way to relax . . . colouring! And I gotta tell you, after a really busy week, it was so nice to just stop and colour for a bit. I like that you can't really rush it. Just take your time and enjoy it!

Products Used

• Paper: 'Artisan Sketched Garden'. The whole pack is Black & White and perfect for colouring. (And on sale until the end of the month!)

• Colour Combo: Melon Mambo, Daffodil Delight, Golden Glow & Mossy Meadow

Step-by-Step Instructions

1. Card Base:

   1. Cut Thick Basic White Cardstock to 8 1/2" x 5 1/2".

   2. Score in half at 4 1/4".

2. Card Front:

   1. Cut your choice of pattern of DSP to a full card front size at 5 1/2" x 4 1/4".

   2. Then have fun colouring! I used Stampin' Blends in Melon Mambo, Daffodil Delight, Golden Glow & Mossy Meadow.

   3. Once you finish colouring, use a Blending Brush and add a bit of subtle colour to the white spaces. I used Golden Glow ink.

   4. Add to card base.

3. Sentiment:

   1. Stamp sentiment in black on white cardstock. (This is from 'Poetic Petals' Stamp Set, coming in the Sept - Dec Catalogue!)

   2. Cut out with Stylish Shapes Dies.

   3. Add to card front with dimensionals.
