Hello! Thanks for joining us on the Create with Connie & Mary Saturday Blog Hop! Here we are at our very last Christmas card of the season! Wow! This week we are making cards with a non-traditional colour scheme.
I save colour combo ideas all the time and I had really been wanting to try this one. I used: Night of Navy, Shaded Spruce, Wild Wheat, Cherry Cobbler and Petal Pink.
To create the polka dot background, I used the Dots and Spots Die as a template. Laying the template over my card base, I coloured in only every other dot using Wild Wheat ink and a sponge dauber. I found doing all the dots was a bit too busy for the card.
The 'merry' was cut out using the Alphabet a la mode Dies, one letter in each colour. I also used the Foam Adhesive Sheets behind the cardstock so they would pop off the card. The 'christmas' is from the More Wishes Stamp Set and was heat embossed in white on Night of Navy cardstock and then fussy cut out.
