Hello! Thanks for joining us on the Create with Connie & Mary Saturday Blog Hop! We have another fun week of Valentine's projects for you to give you some last minute ideas. Our theme was Non-Traditional Valentine's. I thought that I would use this chance to use a colour combo that I've been wanting to try that isn't your typical Valentine's colours. They are: Starry Sky, Rich Razzleberry, Pool Party and Bermuda Bay. Let me know what you think about this combo!
Using the super fun new Alphabet a la Mode Dies (Item #160750), I cut out the letters for 'Love' and used the negative cut out. Each piece of cardstock is approximately 1 1/4" x 2 1/2", but I decided not to be too fussy about the size and they each ended up slightly different which I kind of like.
I adhered the 'Love' to a 5" x 3 3/4" piece of Basic White cardstock, then I matte it on a 5 1/8" x 3 7/8" piece of Basic Black cardstock. It seemed a little plain, so I thought it would be fun to colour on the white. I used my Pool Party and Bermuda Bay Stampin' Blends to add little hand drawn hearts and polka dots.
To finish off the card, I heat embossed the word 'you' in white on black cardstock. You could search through any stamp set you have to find something that works here. I used the Sentimental Park Stamp Set (Item #160561).
