Hello! Thanks for joining us on the Create with Connie & Mary Saturday Blog Hop! I love the theme for this week, Ombre cards. It is a fun technique with many ways you could try it out. I can't wait to see what everyone else on the hop creates!
My projects lately have been trying to pull in some fun spring time colours. So, I went with some really pretty colours for my Ombre look. Maybe if we all work together we can get spring to come early!
I started with a piece of Basic White cardstock, larger than what I needed. Using my Blending Brushes, I added the ink in layers. First with Calypso Coral, then Polished Pink and finishing off with a pop of Orchid Oasis. I am in love with how these colours look together!
Once the colouring was done, I cut it out as a background with the Scalloped Contours Dies. To keep it all about the background, I just wanted to stamp an outline image, so I went with the pretty flowers from the Blessings of Home Stamp Set. The sentiment and the twine are both Orchid Oasis, which I probably haven't used since last summer and I forgot how pretty this colour is!
