Hello! Thanks for joining us on the Create with Connie & Mary Saturday Blog Hop! Our theme this week was to create a card that could offer someone a special pick me up. I went with a bundle that I actually haven't used in awhile, but will probably be one I keep in my collection as it's just so lovely. It is the Simply Succulents Stamp Set combined with the Potted Succulents Dies.
I wanted to keep a soft and subtle look on the card, so I decided to use my Sponge Daubers to colour in the succulents and the pot. For the succulents, I started with Soft Sea Foam, then added a bit of Soft Succulent and finished off with Sweet Sorbet on a few of the tips. For the pot, I used Cajun Craze.
This stamp set has such great sentiments, like the one I chose. It's just heat embossed in black on Soft Succulent and cut out with the coordinating die.
To put the card together, I used a Thick Basic White card base. The Basic White for the background is cut to 3 3/4" x 5" and matted on Soft Succulent, cut at 4" x 5 1/4". Next you add the pot, then use Stampin' Dimensionals to bring out the succulents.
