Saturday Blog Hop: Spotlight on Vellum

Our cards this week are all shining a spotlight on Vellum. When I think of using Vellum on my projects, it's usually because I want to add a subtle detail or soften a pattern. So, I thought I would do both on this cards!

Products Used

• Paper: Mosaic Garden DSP. This paper is just so pretty!

• Colour Combo: Crisp Cantaloupe & Pretty Peacock.

Step-by-Step Instructions

1. Card Base:

   1. Cut Crumb Cake Cardstock to 8 1/2" x 5 1/2". Score in half at 4 1/4".

   2. Cut DSP to 4" x 5 1/4". Add to card front.

   3. Cut Vellum to 3 3/4" x 5". Add to card using adhesive just behind where the sentiment will be.

2. Details:

   1. Cut out a pretty detail from your favourite dies. I used these fern fronds from the 'Fern & Flora' Dies. Add to card.

   2. Cut 8" of white twine, loop back and forth and add to card.

   3. Heat emboss sentiment in white on Pretty Peacock Cardstock. Cut out with label die and add to card with dimensionals. (I used the 'Radiant Sunflowers' Dies.

   4. Finish off with the 'Moody Pallette Dots' in white.
