Saturday Blog Hop: Stencils

Hello! Thanks for joining us on the Create with Connie & Mary Saturday Blog Hop! This week's theme was Stencils. We were to use either some of Stampin' Up!'s stencils or create our own using dies. My card features one of the dies from the Poppy Moments Dies. I cut it out first from Thick Basic White Cardstock to create my stencil.

Then I repeatedly used my stencil to create this background on my card. Keeping it secure with a piece of washi tape, I coloured over the stencil using Blending Brushes, first in Daffodil Delight ink and then in Polished Pink. I love the way that yellow and pink mix together, it always turns out so pretty!

I used this as the main part of my card and just matted it on Polished Pink Cardstock and then on a Basic White card base. I decided to use another die from the same set to create this adorable label piece cut out in Polished Pink for my sentiment. Adding in some pops of black finished off the card.

Here are the main products that I used:

  • Poppy Moments Dies (Item #151594)

  • Pansy Patch Stamp Set (Item #154999)

  • Blending Brushes (Item #160518)

  • Black & White Gingham Ribbon (Item #156485)

Using dies as a stencil. Handmade Stampin' Up! card.
