Hello! Thanks for joining us on the Create with Connie & Mary Saturday Blog Hop! For our theme this week, we were to take a non-Valentine's stamp set and "flip" it into a Valentine themed card.
All this week I've been playing with the Thoughtful Moments Hybrid Embossing Folder. I've also been excited to craft with the Carnival Treats Stamp Set, so I paired them up together for this fun card.
The sentiment was created with the Thoughtful Moments Hybrid Embossing Folder. I added black ink to the folder before it was cut out to get the outline look. Then I added in the colour with Real Red and Flirty Flamingo Stampin' Blends.
I just love this slurpee image from the Carnival Treats Stamp Set. My kids are obsessed with slurpees, so I thought it would be fun to create a card for them! I stamped the image 3 times. Once in black for the outline, then once in Real Red and once in Flirty Flamingo. (No kid just gets one flavour at a time!) I cut out the colours and added them onto the black image to get the different colours.
The background paper comes from the Trusty Toolbox DSP and the red patterned papers are from the Most Adored Specialty DSP. (Both are Sale-a-Bration items). I added a few cute hearts and I love the way this card turned out. Now to go get some 7-11 gift cards for Valentine's Day!
