Saturday Blog Hop: Back To School Days

Well, here we are already halfway through August and having to think about back to school already! My kids will be going back in just 2 weeks. They are a little bit older now and so I loved this sentiment in thinking about them as they each go into their schools and make a positive difference 💕. The card is like a little goodbye to summer and a little nod to back to school.

Products Used

• Paper: 'Waterside Retreat'. I just love the cute little bikes! 🚲

• Colour Combo: Cajun Craze, Very Vanilla & Misty Moonlight.

Step-by-Step Instructions

1. Card Base:

   1. Cut Very Vanilla Cardstock to 8 1/2" x 5 1/2".

   2. Score in half at 4 1/4".

2. Card Front:

   1. Cut striped DSP to 4" x 5 1/4". Using a Blending Brush, add a little bit of Cajun Craze ink around the edge. Add to card front.

   2. Cut bike DSP to 3 1/2" x 3 1/2" and mat it on Cajun Craze Cardstock cut to 3 5/8" x 3 5/8". Wrap some Linen Thread around it twice and then add this whole piece to your card front with dimensionals.

3. Details:

   1. Cut out the third smallest arch in Very Vanilla and add to card.

   2. Fussy cut out one of the bicycles and add with dimensionals.

   3. Heat emboss sentiment in white on Cajun Craze and fussy cut out, add to card with dimensionals. (This sentiment is from the 'Fern & Flora' Stamp Set.

   4. Finish off with the Pecan Pie Dots from the 'Earthy Matte Dots'.
