Saturday Blog Hop: Beach Time

Hello! Thanks for joining us on our Create with Stamping Friends Saturday Blog Hop! We are only a week away from the summer solstice and we are getting ready for all the summer vibes!😎 Our theme this week is, Beach Time. Now I don't really live anywhere near a beach, it's more mountain vibes in Calgary, but summer is my favourite time of year so I will definitely pretend I'm headed to the beach!⛱️

Products Used

• Colour Combo: Summer Splash has to be THE BEST colour for summer, it's so perfect! And doesn't it look great with Strawberry Slush?!

• Stamp Set: I had to get creative here as I didn't have any beach themed stamp sets, but I love the 'Sunny Days' sentiment from the 'Storybook Life' Stamp Set and it was the inspiration for my card.

Step-by-Step Instructions

1. Card Base:

   1. Cut Thick Basic White Cardstock to 8 1/2" x 5 1/2". Score in half at 4 1/4".

   2. Cut Summer Splash Two-Tone Cardstock to 4" x 5 1/4" and tear the top and bottom. Adhere to card with dark side up.

   3. Cut a second piece of Summer Splash Two-Tone Cardstock to 4" x 3 1/2" and tear the top and bottom. Adhere to card with the light side up.

   4. Cut a piece of Summer Splash DSP to 4" x 2". Tear the top and bottom and adhere to card.

2. Sentiment:

   1. Find the perfect summery sentiment. I heat embossed mine in white, one on Pool Party and one on Strawberry Slush.

   2. Cut out and add to card with dimensionals.

3. Decorative Elements:

   1. The only beachy stamp I had was this umbrella! I heat embossed it in white on Basic White cardstock. Then added a bit of Strawberry Slush colour with a Blending Brush.

   2. Finish it off with the matching Flat Pearls and you're all ready for the beach!☀️
