Hello! Thanks for joining us on the Create with Connie & Mary Saturday Blog Hop! I hope all my American friends had a lovely Thanksgiving. I am using this weekend to finish decorating my house for Christmas and prep for a fun and busy month ahead! Our theme for this week is just perfect, It's Beginning to Look Like Christmas. My inspiration for my card was a Christmas coffee mug. I just love my own collection of Christmas mugs and they are always the first thing I pull out for the season.
I used Blushing Bride for the card base, then layered a 4 5/8" x 3 3/8" piece of the Sweetest Christmas DSP on a 4 3/4" x 3 1/2" piece of Shaded Spruce Cardstock. The cup comes of course from the Teacup Dies and was cut out on Shimmery White Cardstock. Then, I coloured it with my Blending Brush and Shaded Spruce Ink. To finish off the cup, the snowflake from the Spruced Up Stamp Set was stamped in Shaded Spruce.
I popped the cup up with Stampin' Dimensionals on top of a circle of Vellum and silver trim from the Simply Elegant Trim. Lastly, I heat embossed the sentiment in white on Shaded Spruce Cardstock and then added a few of the lovely Seasonal Sequins. The sentiment comes from the Brightest Glow Stamp Set. It turned out so cute and now I think it's time to go get a cup of coffee in my favourite Christmas mug!
