Saturday Blog Hop: Cards for Guys

It's all about creating Cards for Guys this week! We're less than a month away from Father's Day and we're looking to put together some great card ideas to tuck away for the guys in our lives. It was a crazy week, so I went for something super simple, but I love how with the 'Waterside Retreat' DSP it actually looks more detailed than it is.

Products Used

• Paper: 'Waterside Retreat'. One of the patterns of the DSP has scenery images that you can just cut out and use for card fronts - genius idea for a quick card! I love this image as it reminds me of the scenery nearby in Kananaskis or Banff!

• Colour Combo: Peaceful Pine & Pecan Pie

Step-by-Step Instructions

1. Card Base:

   1. Cut Peaceful Pine Cardstock to 8 1/2" x 5 1/2".

   2. Score in half at 4 1/4".

2. Card Front:

   1. Cut DSP (this fun plaid!) to 5 1/4" x 4" and adhere to card front with SEAL.

   2. Cut out scenery image of choice. This one is about 4 3/4" x 3 1/4". Then mat it on Pecan Pie Cardstock cut to 5" x 3 1/2". Add to card front with dimensionals for a bit of interest.

   3. Stamp a simple sentiment in Pecan Pie on Basic White and add to card with dimensionals.

What a great 5 minute card!
