Hello! Thanks for joining us on the Create with Connie & Mary Saturday Blog Hop! I was so excited about this week's theme, I just love stripes! I had a lot of ideas and I wanted to use every piece of striped patterned paper that I had. However, I have had this idea in my head for awhile and I decided to try it out. Water colouring is definitely not my forté, but I'm having fun trying out a few different techniques this month during World Watercolour Month.
Using the Fluid 100 Watercolour Paper, I created my own striped background with the Watercolour Pencils (Assortment 1 and Assortment 2). The colours are: Night of Navy, Bermuda Bay, Coastal Cabana, Granny Apple Green, Daffodil Delight, Flirty Flamingo and Melon Mambo. Once I coloured in my striped pattern, I went over each colour with the Water Painters to blend them together.
To go with my bright summer vibes on this card, I wanted to use this awesome sentiment from the Good Feelings Stamp Set. I then matted this on Basic Black cardstock and then put it on this fun background that comes from the Celebrate Everything Designer Series Paper.
The flower and leaf are from the Summer Shadows Dies, also cut out from a piece of paper I watercoloured on.
