Saturday Blog Hop: Case Yourself

This week's theme was to case ourselves. So I dug back a couple years for a card and found this one below with the Nests of Winter Suite. I chose it because it's a simple layout to copy, but I love the texture of the embossing and the peek a boo window.

And here's my Cased version with the 'Simply Leaves' Bundle.

Products Used

• Bundle: 'Simply Leaves'. This is a current bundle and I have been loving creating with it this week.

• Embossing Folder: This is a new one coming out on September 1st with the new catalogue. Don't you just love the rich texture on it?!

• Colour Combo: Cajun Craze, Golden Glow, & Petal Pink.

Step-by-Step Instructions

1. Card Base:

   1. Cut Basic Beige Cardstock to 8 1/2" x 5 1/2".

   2. Score in half at 4 1/4".

2. Card Front:

   1. Cut your DSP to 3 1/2" x 3 1/2" and add to card front, making sure it will fit behind the cut out. I used this fun pattern from the upcoming 'Painted Patch' DSP that will be in the Sept-Dec 2026 Catalogue.

   2. Cut Golden Glow Cardstock to 3 3/4" x 5". Using the largest circle in the 'Stylish Shapes' Dies, cut out the circle.

   3. Then emboss this with the 'Softy Woven' 3D Embossing Folder. Add to card front with Dimensionals to complete the window look.

3. Details:

   1. Stamp one leaf in Cajun Craze and one in Golden Glow. Punch out with the coordinating 'Simple Leaf' Punch. Stamp a smaller leaf in Petal Pink and fussy cut out.

   2. Add the leaves to the card front.

   3. Cut 12" of Linen Thread, loop into a double bow and adhere with a Glue Dot.

   4. Stamp sentiment in Secret Sea on Basic Beige Cardstock and cut to size. Add to card.

   5. Finish off with your favourite fall embellishment. These are the 'Earthy Matte Dots', which are on the Last Chance Products List, so grab them while you can! They're on sale too!
