Saturday Blog Hop: Casing Cindy 2025

Hello! Thanks for joining us on our Create with Stamping Friends Saturday Blog Hop! For the next few weeks we are spending time casing each other's cards. Casing means to copy or create using a similar look to the original card. This week we are casing Cindy Elam's cards, by using the same layout and colour combo. I was very excited when I saw this card, it's just so pretty!

One of my favourite stamp sets at the moment is the 'Mixed Florals' Stamp Set and I knew that it would look so great in these colours that Cindy had used.

Materials Used

These were the main inspiration for my card:

• Colour Combo: Bubble Bath, Berry Burst, White & Old Olive.

• Bundle: Mixed Florals.

Step-by-Step Instructions

1. Card Base:

   1. Cut Thick Basic White cardstock to 8 1/2" x 5 1/2". Score in half at 4 1/4".

   2. Cut Bubble Bath cardstock to 3 1/2" x 4 3/4". Emboss with the Eyelet 3D Embossing Folder and add to card.

2. Sentiment:

   1. Cut a 3 3/4" x 1" piece of Basic White cardstock and stamp the sentiment in the bottom right corner. I used one from the 'Country Flowers' Stamp Set.

   2. Add to card front.

3. Decorative Elements: 

   1. Cut a 4" piece of White ribbon, fold in half and add to card with adhesive.

   2. On a piece of Basic White, stamp the flowers from the 'Mixed Florals' Stamp Set in Memento Tuxedo Black.

   3. Colour in the flowers with Bubble Bath, Berry Burst, Old Olive & Daffodil Delight Stampin' Blends. Cut out with the coordinating die. Add to card with Stampin' Dimensionals.

   4. Add a few gems of your choice! (These are the Purple Adhesive-Backed Sequins from Sale-a-Bration).
