Hello! Thanks for joining us on the Create with Connie & Mary Saturday Blog Hop! This is the very last week that we are caseing each other's projects here on the blog hop. Casing is a term that just means, 'copy and share everything'. It's one of the joys of card making, to be inspired by others' creativity!
To end this fun series, we are casing Connie Babbert! Check out her super cute Halloween card from last year. This is an amazing layout that could be tweaked for so many different stamp sets.
I decided to continue with the fun theme of her card and used the Yeti to Party Stamp Set. I just love how cute and fun this set is! Did you know for just the month of September you can also get the coordinating dies too? Don't miss out on getting the bundle while you can.
Here are the basic dimensions:
Pacific Point Card Base: 8 1/2" x 5 1/2", scored in half at 4 1/4"
Pool Party: 4" x 5 1/4"
Celebrate Everything DSP 1: 2 3/4" x 4 1/2"
Celebrate Everything DSP 2: 2" x 4 1/4"
Shaded Spruce for sentiment: 2" x 1"
I loved that Connie started off with a textured layer for the base of her card, so I decided to use the Painted Texture 3D Embossing Folder on mine. To go with a theme of bright, bold and fun colours, I turned to the awesome Celebrate Everything Designer Series Paper and chose a couple coordinating patterns.
Then comes our adorable Yeti! I stamped him in Basic Grey and used Stampin' Blends to add a little colour. He comes with all sorts of fun accessories and I chose the present and a couple snowflakes. He is added to the card using Stampin' Dimensionals and I added some silver trim behind him to add to the wintry feel of the card. Of course, all of these pieces were cut out with the limited edition Yeti Dies. The sentiment was heat embossed in white on Shaded Spruce and completes this card which is perfect for a winter birthday!
