Saturday Blog Hop: Casing Debbie Henderson

Hello! Thanks for joining us on the Create with Connie & Mary Saturday Blog Hop! We are in the midst of a fun series, where each week we will case a card from one of the designers. Casing is a term that just means, 'copy and share everything'. It's one of the joys of card making, to be inspired by others' creativity!

This week, we are casing Debbie Henderson. Here is the card that I have chosen. It is such a fun and cherry card and I really loved the border of stars, it looks so amazing!

I thought that it would be fun to recreate this card using the Joyful Flurries Bundle. The colours, Tahitian Tide and Sweet Sorbet give a fun and whimsical look to the Christmas Card.

Here are the basic dimensions:

• Basic White Card Base: 8 1/2" x 5 1/2", scored in half at 4 1/4"

• Sweet Sorbet Designer Series Paper: 5 1/4" x 4"

• Silver & Gold DSP: 5" x 2"

• Sweetest Christmas DSP: 5" x 2"

• Sweet Sorbet Cardstock: 5" x 1/4"

• Tahitian Tide Twine: 15"

I used the same layout as Debbie and then had fun adding in the snowflakes in place of the stars. They were cut out from the Tahitian Tide Glimmer Paper, which comes in a package with all the 2022-2024 In Colors. If you haven't bought that paper yet, I promise you won't be disappointed! Each sheet has an ombré look, which gives you the option of light and dark tones of the same colour.

The sentiment was heat embossed in white and cut out with the label die that comes with the Frosted Flurry Dies. I laid it on top of a bit of Tahitian Tide Twine. Lastly, I added my current favourite gems, which are the Iridescent Rhinestones.
