Saturday Blog Hop: Christmas Flowers

ree

Hello! Thanks for joining us on our Create with Stamping Friends Saturday Blog Hop! Our theme for this week is Christmas Flowers. I'm still loving the 'Traditions of Christmas' Specialty DSP, so I went for some fussy cutting and created a card around the poinsettias.

Stampin' Up! Christmas Card Idea.

Products Used

  • Colour Combo: Black, white & Real Red.

  • DSP: 'Traditions of Christmas'. You can use the 'Christmas Greenery' Dies to cut out the flower images in a few of the patterns or if you like, you can fussy cut the flowers out.

Step-by-Step Instructions

  1. Card Base:

    1. Cut Thick Basic White Cardstock to 8 1/2" x 5 1/2".

      1. Score in half at 4 1/4".

  2. Card Front:

    1. Cut Real Red Cardstock to 4 1/8" x 5 3/8". Add to card.

    2. Cut DSP to 4" x 5 1/4". Add to card.

  3. Decorative Elements:

    1. Cut out a selection of flowers. Add to card keeping in mind where you want to add your sentiment.

    2. Stamp and heat emboss a sentiment in white on Basic Black and cut out with your favourite label shape. (I used this one from the 'Traditional Labels' Dies.

    3. Add to card with dimensionals.

    4. Finish off with sequins.
