Hello! Thanks for joining us on the Create with Connie & Mary Saturday Blog Hop! This past Thursday was the First Day of Fall and so all of our cards are Fall themed this week. When I was thinking about my project, I was inspired by a colour scheme that I actually saw on a container of hand soap that I had . . . you never know where you're going to be inspired! It was an apple scent that had red, blues and gold on the label. So, as you may know, once you're a part of Stampin' Up! it's almost impossible not to think in Stampin' Up! colours, so I immediately saw Real Red, Night of Navy, Balmy Blue and hints of gold.
I used the Artistically Inked Stamp Set and stamped my flowers in each corner and then stamped the leaves around. To get the gold centre, I stamped in Versamark first, then added Heat & Stick Powder. Once the powder is heat set, you can add the Gilded Leafing for that beautiful shine. I chose to use the leafing because the gold is much brighter than embossing powder.
The sentiment was heat embossed in white on Night of Navy and layered on top of this fab gold glimmer paper that can be found in the July - December 2022 Mini Catalogue. To make the card pop a bit more, I layered the stamped paper on Night of Navy and then put that on top of this fun red plaid paper from the Gingham Cottage Designer Series Paper.
