Saturday Blog Hop: Falling Leaves

Hello! Thanks for joining us on our Create with Stamping Friends Saturday Blog Hop! It's officially the first week of Fall here and our theme is 'Falling Leaves', but we were to use some non-traditional Fall colours. I decided to work in some blues with orange and I'm surprised by how much I like it!🍂

Products Used

• Colour Combo: Cajun Craze, Secret Sea & Misty Moonlight.

• Bundle: Label Me Grateful. This is still a fantastic bundle if you're looking for something for the fall season, but that also has some versatility to it.

• DSP: Peaceful Garden. It was fun to use this paper out of it's context a bit. It's so pretty!.

Step-by-Step Instructions

1. Card Base:

   1. Cut Secret Sea Cardstock to 8 1/2" x 5 1/2". Score in half at 4 1/4".

   2. Cut the first piece of DSP to 3 3/4" x 5". If you like, you can rough up the edges a bit by running your scissors along the edge or even crumpling the paper. Adhere to card base.

   3. Cut the second piece of DSP to 3" x 4". Adhere them both to the card base at an angle. You can edge this piece too. Adhere to centre of card.

   4. Cut a third pattern of the DSP to 3 3/4" x 1 1/2" and tear each end before you put it on the card.

2. Decorative Elements:

   1. Using the Label Me Grateful Bundle, cut out the large label piece from the DSP. This pattern is from the Gathering Together DSP. Add to card with dimensionals.

   2. To create the leaf details, I added some Cajun Craze Ink and Misty Moonlight Ink with a Blending Brush on Basic White Cardstock. Then, I cut out 2 of each of these shapes. Add them to the card.

   3. Cut a 10" piece of Linen Thread, loop into a bow shape and add to card.

   4. Stamp sentiment. I heat embossed mine in white on Secret Sea and fussy cut it out.

   5. Finish off with the pretty Cajun Craze & Gold Dots.
