Hello! Thanks for joining us on the Create with Connie & Mary Saturday Blog Hop! This week's theme is Flower Power. There are so many great options for adding flowers to your cards with Stampin' Up!. I decided to use the Detailed Dogwood Stamp Set that can be earned for free during Sale-a-Bration. I hadn't used it yet and was excited to try it out!
Can I just say, the second I stamped the large image I was amazed at how intricate and beautiful it looked. So pretty!
To get started on this card, I began with a colour scheme for myself and went for a fun bright combo of Calypso Coral, Melon Mambo and Crushed Curry.
On Basic White cardstock, I started by stamping the large image on the bottom middle, then repeat stamped on either side to fill in. Then I flipped the cardstock and made a mirror of the same thing. From here you could add any sentiment in the middle and it would look perfect.
I chose to make this a birthday card. The 'happy' is from the Love This Moment Stamp Set and the 'birthday' is from the Artistically Inked Stamp Set.
The flowers are in the Detailed Dogwood Stamp Set and can be punched out with the Petal Park Builder Punch. I did one pink and 2 yellow and added some Glossy Dots to the centres.
It's simple, but that stamp sure packs a punch! I can't wait to make a few more cards with it.
