Saturday Blog Hop: Fruit & Veggies

ree

Hello! Thanks for joining us on our Create with Stamping Friends Saturday Blog Hop! Our theme for this week is Fruit & Veggies. I actually love this idea as it gave me an excuse to play with one of my favourite papers - the Painterly Pears DSP! It has been a really busy week here as well, so this card is a nice simple one that would be fun to make multiples of for a set of Thank You Cards.

Products Used

  • DSP: Painterly Pears. If you don't have this paper yet, pop it in your cart - you won't regret it! It's just the prettiest paper and so much fun to create with.

Step-by-Step Instructions

  1. Card Base:

    1. Cut Basic Beige Cardstock to 8 1/2" x 5 1/2". Score in half at 4 1/4".

    2. Cut the first piece of DSP to 3 3/4" x 5".

    3. Cut the second piece of DSP to 3 1/2" x 4 3/4". Adhere them both to the card base at an angle.

  2. Decorative Elements:

    1. Stamp or heat emboss a sentiment. I love Copper Embossing this time of year, so I used this sentiment from the Gathering Moments Stamp Set and heat embossed it in copper on Secret Sea Cardstock.

    2. Cut the sentiment to size and layer it on a piece of Basic Beige just slightly wider. The dimensions can vary depending on the sentiment you use.

    3. Add the sentiment to the card with dimensionals, tucking a bit of Old Olive Linen Thread behind.

    4. Finish off with the beautiful Low Profile Sparkle Dots and fussy cut a pear from the DSP for a little detail.,
